The lack of employability soft skills, as well as life skills are major issues for many job seekers because they misunderstand the importance of punctuality, absenteeism, and the lines of authority and responsibility in the workplace.
Employers are looking for workers who are dependable, punctual and know what employers expect and can deliver. Employees who demonstrate soft skills enhance job-readiness and retention and are inclined to be more successful. However, those that are not job ready cost employer’s time and money.
Unfortunately, many potential employees are tripping over their own feetbecause they are facing more personal issues than ever before.
Behavioral issues such as: absenteeism, drug/alcohol abuse, procrastination, and poor job performances are common, causing trillions of dollars, in company loses.
DEVELOPING A TALENT PIPELINE
The Life Skills Job Readiness Bootcamp helps employers develop talent pipelines by implementing comprehensive strategies and tools that promote self-sufficiency, and workforce development to help potential employees to be better equipped and prepared for workforce success.
We assess personal, academic and employment needs, and readiness, match and refer participants to employers. The program teaches its participants how to succeed as students and employees.

We incorporate soft-skills training and a no excuse, tough love, cognitive behavioral intervention curriculum. This approach helps participants to stop tripping and take responsibility for their actions, identify and overcome personal and employment self-handicapping behaviors, and learn life, soft and job readiness skills that help successfully maintain employment.
Our cognitive behavior soft skills' curriculum was developed and is taughtby New Millennium Institute and helps attendees to be prepared to work, equipped to perform, and positioned to advance.

HOW WILL THIS BE ACHIEVED?
Participants will attend a comprehensive two week Job Readiness Bootcamp, evaluating participants’ personal, academic and employment needs and readiness. Attendees will also develop an individualized educational and employment plan.
Classes can be customized, but are usually five days a week from 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. and lasts for two (2) weeks for a total of forty (40) hours of training. The program provides participants a success coach to offer guidance and support as they journey into their new job or career.
We also provide on-site BootCamps for businesses who are recruiting and for new and current employees. Classes can be customized to meet employer's needs.
The New Millennium Institute’s curriculum, "Stop Tripping Over Your Own Feet: The Self-Sufficiency and Empowerment Workbook" is a resource for the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals. It helps programs implement comprehensive educational and workforce strategies and tools that reduce self-handicapping behaviors and promote self-sufficiency, employment, and educational, training of individuals entering or re-entering the workforce.
We also have developed a Train-the-Trainer Program and workshops forbusinesses and organizations. New Millennium Institute staff will assist your organization in developing and implementing the following:

Recruitment: assist in coordinating employer and participant recruitment
Orientation: supervise recruitment day
Training: manage 5-day boot camp training process
Graduation/Job Fair: administer graduation and interview process
